Registrations for Trouwen op de Ring have closed. A total of 399 couples have signed up for this special wedding moment during the Op de Ring festival. The enthusiasm has been fantastic, but due to the high number of registrations, we unfortunately cannot offer a spot to all couples, and a lottery will be held.
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the municipality of Amsterdam will offer couples the chance to tie the knot on the car-free A10 during the Op de Ring festival. A section of the Ring A10 will be designated as an official wedding location for this special occasion. The ceremonies will be provided free of charge by the officiants of the municipality of Amsterdam, in either Dutch or English. Couples can expect a festive wedding spot with space for their guests.
Amsterdam residents could sign up for “Trouwen op de Ring” until Sunday, December 1. Due to the high number of registrations, a lottery will be held to determine which couples will have the opportunity to say their vows at this unique location. The lottery will be conducted by a notary. The exact number of weddings that can take place is still being finalized.
All couples who have signed up will receive notification by January 31, 2025, whether they have been selected for Trouwen op de Ring or not.
During the Op de Ring festival, a special proposal area will also be set up. In addition to weddings, couples will have the chance to propose to each other in this unique location.
