Celebrate the night during and after the festival Op de Ring

14 April 2025

Amsterdam is celebrating its birthday, and of course the Amsterdam nightlife is also celebrating during the festival Op de Ring! From creative ravers to special club nights: the night is part of the soul of our city. That is why night mayor Freek Wallagh and his team are going all out. In collaboration with Amsterdam 750, the festival Op de Ring and more than 25 night locations, it will be a celebration to remember!

A Festive Parade on the Ring Road

During the Op de Ring festival on Saturday, June 21, a festive parade will take place on a section of the A10 near Rembrandtpark. This unique procession, organized by Stichting Nachtburgemeester together with various nightlife organizations, showcases the vibrant and creative spirit of Amsterdam’s nightlife. Think rave trucks, live music, performances, theater, and surprises along the way. A moving piece of art – but with basslines.

Afterparty in More Than 25 Clubs

Festival over? That’s when the night program really kicks off. Night Mayor Freek Wallagh expects that people won’t head straight home after Op de Ring. “Knowing Amsterdammers, many will definitely want to keep going. And they can, at one of the clubs or bars taking part.” More than 25 clubs and nightlife venues across the city will open their doors that evening for a special Amsterdam 750 program. You’ll be able to discover new talent, dance to legendary MCs, and maybe even toast with a brand-new Amsterdam shot. What do all these places have in common? A love for the city, for the night, and for what connects us.

More about festival Op de Ring

“Amsterdam's birthday is not complete without an ode to its birds of paradise, its showpieces and its club creatures. We want to celebrate the night as only Amsterdam can: free, diverse and full of energy. Mokum is not just a city, it is a feeling of freedom and connectedness. You can see that in the night.”
