Free tickets for festival On the Ring available from 21 May

14 May 2025

To attend the Op de Ring festival on Saturday 21 June, free tickets are required. From 10:00 on 21 May, tickets can be ordered via this website.

Due to the unique location of the festival, public transport access is limited and large crowds are expected. The tickets and time slots are intended to help spread out the anticipated visitor numbers on and around the event site, as well as in public transport.

The festival site consists of three zones:

  • Zone West – Ticket required
  • Zone Zuid – Ticket required
  • Zone Oost – No ticket required

Tickets and time slots

From 10:00 on 21 May, free tickets can be ordered at www.opdering.nl/tickets. When ordering, you choose a time slot and entrance. There are three time slots available, each with a limited number of tickets:

10:00 – 14:00 (morning slot, max. 6 tickets per order)
15:00 – 22:00 (day slot, max. 4 tickets per order)
18:00 – 22:00 (evening slot, max. 4 tickets per order)

Once inside, you have access to both zone West and zone Zuid. Tickets can easily be returned so others may use them.

No tickets required for zone Oost

No tickets are needed for zone Oost. From 09:00 to 14:45, the Run Op de Ring will take place here. A total of 20,000 participants will run the 7.5-kilometre course from the S113 (Watergraafsmeer), looping briefly over the A2, to the festive finish near the S109 (RAI). Registration is no longer possible. After 16:00, zone A10 East is accessible without a ticket for cycling (entry via S113) or walking (entry via S109). There is no access between A10 East and zones A10 West and South.

From motorway to festival – by and for Amsterdammers
The programme in zones A10 West and A10 Zuid includes around 25 activities developed by over 200 Amsterdam-based organisers. Highlights include Trouwen Op de Ring, where 20 couples from Amsterdam will say ‘I do’, and a real Bos Op de Ring, with 750 large and 7,500 small trees. There’s much more to discover, including a one-off Muziekfeest Op de Ring featuring performances by Jan Smit, Danny de Munk and others. In Creatief Op de Ring, Amsterdam’s museums join forces with local creative associations. At the Highway Rave Op de Ring stage, Audio Obscura brings rhythmic beats to the motorway. For the full programme and site map, visit www.opdering.nl/en/.

Accessibility and closures
To facilitate setup, execution and breakdown of the festival, part of the A10 will be closed from 20 to 22 June. Temporary traffic measures will also be in place within the city. Extra travel time for car traffic in and around the city may exceed one hour. Visitors are advised to travel on foot, by bike or, if necessary, by public transport. Up-to-date information about accessibility and diversions can be found at www.opdering.nl/en/transport-access.
