The highlight of the birthday celebration is the Opening Concert at the Ziggo Dome. This one-time concert tells the story of Amsterdam through golden oldies and popular music from today, ranging from pop to house and from cabaret to hip-hop. Performers include Willeke Alberti, André Hazes, Sef, Joost van Bellen, BELLA, S10, René Froger, Sophie Straat, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Berget Lewis, Donnie, Edsilia Rombley, and the Metropole Orchestra. Especially for Amsterdam 750, nightclubs Garage Noord, kanaal40, and Radio Radio have joined forces to launch 'denacht.amsterdam.' This platform celebrates the rich nightlife culture of Amsterdam with a year filled with club nights, panels, and workshops. The special night program kicks off on the night of October 26 to 27. Garage Noord and Skatecafé will merge for a grand opening party featuring four unique areas.
Did you know that the birthday of Amsterdam is based on the Toll Privilege from 1275? This document, dated October 27, 1275, is one of the first official mentions of the city and is preserved in the City Archive. To celebrate this special day, the City Archive invites all Amsterdammers on October 27 for a free program filled with lectures, workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, and children's activities. You will also have the unique opportunity to view the centuries-old Toll Privilege that day in the Treasure Chamber.

The Weespertrekvaart Men will bring attention to the Amsterdam song with various performances specially for the 750th jubilee of Amsterdam. The kick-off will be an opening concert in Weesp on October 27 at the Van Houtken Church.
