Especially for Amsterdam's 750th jubilee, PostNL is releasing a special stamp sheet. This sheet contains 5 unique stamps designed by Amsterdam-based designer Michiel Schuurman. The stamps bring both the city's rich history and festive atmosphere to life, marking an iconic moment in the Amsterdam 750 jubilee year.
The 5 stamps on the sheet feature the number 750 in the form of a continuous ribbon, playfully referencing the 750-banner. Each stamp has its own color scheme, inspired by the diversity and dynamic nature of Amsterdam. Recognizable elements, such as the famous Amsterdam Andrew’s crosses and colorful streamers, make the stamps even more distinctive and festive.
“With this special stamp sheet, we not only honor Amsterdam’s rich past, but also celebrate the future of our capital,” says Herna Verhagen, CEO of PostNL. “Amsterdam plays a unique role in our country and in the hearts of many. PostNL is proud to contribute to the 750th anniversary with this design.”
These special stamps are now available at Bruna stores, the PostNL webshop, and by phone through the Collect Club customer service at 088 – 868 99 00. The stamps are valid indefinitely, cost €6.05 per sheet, and are suitable for mail up to 20 grams within the Netherlands.
“During the jubilee year, we celebrate together the resilience, creativity, and diversity of our city. These stamps are a beautiful symbol of the connection between Amsterdammers and all Dutch people, with the past, present, and future of the city.” Sietse Bakker Program Director Amsterdam 750
