Nightclubs Garage Noord, kanaal40, and Radio Radio Join Forces for Amsterdam 750 to Launch: denacht.amsterdam. This platform is entirely dedicated to celebrating Amsterdam's vibrant nightlife culture and will offer a diverse program filled with club nights, panels, and workshops for an entire year. This includes an opening party at Skatecafé.
The festive annual program kicks off on October 26, 2024, with electronic.amsterdam, a grand opening party where Garage Noord and Skatecafé merge into one large festival featuring four areas. Amsterdam DJs such as Steve Rachmad, Sandrien, and Orpheu The Wizard will provide a unique mix of emerging talent and established names from the underground scene.
Throughout the year, there will be 10 club nights and 4 theme weekends organized. These events will highlight various aspects of Amsterdam’s nightlife culture, divided into four themes. The first theme, “Local is Global,” focuses on Amsterdam’s role within the international underground scene. Other themes will include inclusivity in the night and experimentation within club culture.
In addition to the festive events, denacht.amsterdam also offers dozens of panels and workshops that are free and accessible to all Amsterdam residents. Topics range from DJ workshops for teenagers and digital music collection to panels on the history of electronic music and inclusivity in the nightlife. Examples of workshops include “How to Dance in the Club?” and “Your First Beat,” while talks like “Techno is Black” and “Womxn in Electronic” provide a historical perspective.
The denacht.amsterdam platform not only provides the opportunity to attend events but also to watch the talks and workshops online afterwards. The organizers aim to reach as broad an audience as possible and actively engage Amsterdammers in celebrating nightlife culture.
The annual program will culminate in a grand closing party in October 2025, with the location yet to be announced.
