We're counting down to the Op de Ring festival on Saturday 21 June! With just under two months to go, today we're giving you a new sneak peek of the programme.
From the Concertgebouw to Garage Noord, from primary schools to museums – the entire city was celebrating. In the first six months:
more than 145 anniversary activities were organised throughout the city
the 750-slinger was requested more than 1250 times. In shop windows, above the streets, on beer bottles, puzzles, books.
You see the colourful streamers appearing in more and more places. What makes this anniversary year special? The party is not in one place, it is in the entire city. In neighbourhoods and streets, on squares and stages. Big shows and small moments when Amsterdammers meet, surprise each other and celebrate together.
But there were also all kinds of launches for Amsterdam 750 and the birthday city received a number of special gifts:

We are far from done. There are many things happening in the coming months, such as
De ToekomstTiendaagse, Het Festival Op de Ring, Heel Amsterdam Danst, de Finale van de Cruyff Street League
and of course the National Celebration of 750 years of Amsterdam on October 27, 2025. More about that later…
