Dear Amsterdammer,
On October 27, 2025, the day Amsterdam celebrates its 750th anniversary, the Jubilee Year will conclude festively with a musical tribute by Dutch artists to the birthday city. The concert, titled National Celebration Amsterdam 750 Years, will be broadcast live on NPO 1 on Monday evening, October 27, starting at 8:30 PM. The concert will take place in a large dome tent on Museumplein. You live or work near Museumplein. In this letter, we inform you about what will happen and how you can register for tickets to the concert.
Production The TV show production is carried out by producer Out Of The Rat Race | OOTRR on behalf of the Municipality of Amsterdam and in close coordination with the permit issuer, Stadsdeel Zuid. In collaboration with technical producer Sightline, OOTRR will handle the setup and dismantling of the dome tent and all associated facilities.
Dome Tent and Exhibition A large, transparent dome tent measuring 40x80x16 meters will be constructed. This tent will accommodate approximately 2,500 guests, most of whom are Amsterdammers who actively contributed to the Jubilee Year. Construction begins on October 13 near the Van Gogh Museum. The site will be fenced off, and from October 17, a publicly accessible exhibition featuring works by Amsterdam schoolchildren will be displayed on the fences. From October 20, the site will be expanded until October 31. The tent is expected to be fully dismantled by November 5.
Sound Setup and dismantling activities will take place between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Rehearsals and the concert will involve amplified sound, which may cause some inconvenience. The concert will end between 9:50 PM and 10:00 PM with a maximum of 2 minutes of theatrical fireworks.The producer will minimize the duration of these activities and adhere to the conditions of the event permit. Below is an overview of the schedule:
Traffic Measures The producer will deploy security and traffic controllers around the site to manage logistics during setup and dismantling. Through traffic will not be obstructed. During the concert, the bike path between Honthorststraat and Paulus Potterstraat will be closed. From Sunday, October 26, to Tuesday, October 28, some parking spaces on Tenierstraat will be blocked off.

If there is high demand, tickets will be allocated by lottery. You will receive an official invitation by October 3, 2025, which you must use to register on time.
