Amsterdam 750 is a project of the city of Amsterdam. Amsterdam 750 aims to safeguard the privacy of visitors to its website as much as possible. To clarify how we handle visitors’ personal data, we have drafted this Privacy Statement.

This statement does not apply to websites of other organizations and/or companies, links to which may appear on our website. Amsterdam 750 is also not responsible for the content of third-party websites to which we refer.
We do not collect personal data on our websites unless it is voluntarily provided to us, for example, via email or the newsletter. All information provided by you is treated by us in a safe and confidential manner.

Personal data

The city of Amsterdam processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you provide this data to us yourself.

Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Website visitors under the age of 16

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under the age of 16, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data from being collected about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without consent, please contact us at amsterdam.bo@amsterdam750.nl, and we will delete this information.

What do we do with the personal data you provide us?

Programmabureau Amsterdam 750 of the city of Amsterdam processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending our newsletter
  • Being able to call or email you if necessary to perform our services

How long do we keep your data?

Programmabureau Amsterdam 750 does not keep your personal data longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We will keep the personal data until a maximum of 3 months after the completion of the Amsterdam 750 Jubilee Year (January 2026).

Sharing personal data with third parties

Programmabureau Amsterdam 750 does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Programmabureau Amsterdam of the city of Amsterdam remains responsible for these processing activities.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your convenience. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences. We can also optimize our website with them. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to not store cookies. You can also delete all previously stored information through your browser settings.

PIWIK Pro

We use PIWIK Pro as a statistics service to gain insight into click paths and optimize them so that users can find the right information more quickly. This data is anonymized and cannot be traced back to a person. The last part of the visitor’s IP address to the website is not stored.

Videos

This website also displays videos linked from YouTube and/or Vimeo. For YouTube videos, we use the https://nocookie.youtube.com/ link to prevent them from placing cookies. Vimeo places a cookie (‘vuid’) when loading the video player on this website. This is solely for analytical purposes and cannot be traced back to an individual.

Social Media

The social media buttons do not use cookies. When you use these buttons, you will be redirected to the respective site. These sites may use cookies. For more information, please refer to the privacy policies of these social media platforms.

Accessing, correcting, or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by the city of Amsterdam and have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to https://www.amsterdam.nl/privacy/loket/.

We also want to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
