Did you know that Amsterdam 750 is even celebrated outside the city? At Zandsculpturen Garderen on the Veluwe, from March 20, 2025, you will enter a special world where the history of Amsterdam comes to life.
Amsterdam through the centuries
This year the annual exhibition is all about 750 years of Amsterdam. Artists from all over the world have been inspired by the city’s history and bring it to life in beautiful sand sculptures. From the toll privilege in 1275, the famous canals and the Golden Age to the modern architecture and lesser-known stories from the city. The sand sculptures take you on a time journey through the city.
A look behind the scenes
From March 20 to April 1, 2025 you can see the artists live at work as they perfect the sand sculptures. A unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and see how these works of art are created! The full exhibition can be admired from April 1.
Practical information You can see the exhibition being constructed from March 20, 2025. From April 1, 2025 until the end of the season, the exhibition is officially open and can be visited from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (closed on Sundays).
The site is wheelchair friendly and easily accessible for everyone.
