We conclude the anniversary year with a musical tribute by well-known Dutch artists to the birthday city. The concert is titled National Celebration of Amsterdam 750 Years and will be broadcast live on Monday evening, October 27, from 8:30 PM via NOS on NPO 1. His Majesty the King, Her Majesty Queen Máxima, and Her Royal Highness the Princess of Orange will attend the concert.
Renowned Dutch artists, including Bente, Roxeanne Hazes, Yves Berendse, Remy van Kesteren, Karsu, Kris Kross Amsterdam, Maan, Willeke Alberti, and Wibi Soerjadi, will deliver a diverse program: from classical to pop, from Dutch-language music to dance. They will perform in surprising duos, with one artist performing on the stage of a large dome tent at Museumplein and another artist performing from an iconic location in the city. The event will be hosted by actress and presenter Holly Mae Brood and Daan Schuurmans, actor and narrator of The Story of the Netherlands – Amsterdam. On behalf of NOS, Dione de Graaff and Matthijs Weststrate will provide live coverage of the concert. The broadcast will air from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM on NPO1.
The audience in the hall at Museumplein consists of invited guests, including many Amsterdammers who actively contributed to activities during the anniversary year. Before the concert begins, the Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange will meet with some of them. They will speak with amateur dancers from the project Heel Amsterdam Danst, youth football players who participated in the street football tournament Cruyff Street League, Amsterdam-based scientists involved in the facial reconstruction of the oldest known Amsterdammer, and the designer of the Birthday Forest that was displayed on the A10 during the Op de Ring festival.
On October 27, 2025, Amsterdam will blow out no fewer than 750 candles, exactly one year after the opening of the anniversary year. During the final 75 hours of the 750th birthday, there will be plenty to do: ADE parties with a 750 theme, the finale of the Great Amsterdam Quiz, birthday activities in public libraries (OBA) across the city, dining events at 75 locations under the banner Heel Amsterdam Eet (All of Amsterdam Eats), and much more.
